Decorating Help Needed
The decorating and set up for the CLAY fundraising dinner will be at 10:30am on Thursday November 16th. All helping hands are welcome. If you can help please call Pam at 645-3807.

Mark your calendars!
A parish supper will be held on Friday, November 17th. It will be a fundraiser for CLAY - the annual gathering of Canadian Lutheran/Anglican Youth. This year CLAY will be held in Thunder Bay, and our diocese is hoping to send 20 young people from our area. It costs $1,000 to send one delegate and we would like to support that goal. So mark your calendars for a great night out with your St. Thomas' family! Menu: Roast Beef and all the fixings and a Vegetarian alternative. Tickets are $20.00 and will be available from the parish office.

Christmas Fair
The ACW Christmas Fair will be held on December 2nd from 10am to 2pm in Browning Hall. Donations of baking, books, jewelry and crafts are needed. More info to follow.

Newcomer’s Lunch
There will be a newcomer’s lunch on November 26th following the 10:30am service. Everyone is Welcome.

Advent Tidings
Please email your contributions to Sandy at or to the church office by November 26th.

Christmas Shoe Boxes
We need your help to fill shoe boxes for our Messy Church Christmas Party. Please start by saving a shoe box or any other suitable box and then fill it with toys, socks, books, wrapped candy, etc. We encourage you to add a children’s Bible or Christian storybook in the box. Please mark if it is for a girl or boy age 2-4, 5-9, 10-12 and bring to the office. If we have more boxes than children we will give them to community families or Interval House. Thank you.

Advent Carol Service
We will be holding an Advent Carol Service on December 3rd. Watch Bulletin for more details.

New Small Group Opportunities
Two new groups are ready to launch. Catherine Thompson & Kathleen Jay will facilitate ‘Women of the Old Testament’ & Rev. Barbara Nangle will lead ‘Liturgy 101’, looking primarily at the Book of Alternative Services. Sign-up sheets are on the bulletin board.

Bullseye Small Groups
Following-up the sermon series, we would like to establish as many small groups as we can who will work through the six discipleship markers together. We have a short, simple book called "Bullseye: Practical Ideas for Individuals and Groups." These groups would begin the week of October 15th and continue for six weeks (with the option to continue depending on the desire of each group). Rev. Kelly will be asking members of the congregation to serve as facilitators (questions for each week provided). Groups can range from two people to six people, so if you just want to study with a friend or with your partner, or in a group of three with two friends, these are also options and you can be included among the groups!

Members are urged to consider joining in one of our parish’s many ministries. Consider your God-given gifts. If you feel moved to help, please talk to Rev. Kelly, Tracy or one of our Wardens to see where your gifts might be used. Ministries in need of particular help at present include: Altar Guild, Messy Church, Welcome Wagon, Decorating Committee, Community Dinners, ACW.

The ACW are looking for the following items to distribute to various missions. Milk bags 4L: which are shipped to third world countries to make mats, slightly used back packs in support of the AIDS committee of North Bay and area. Every few weeks there will be something else listed that we are in need of. Thank you for your help.

Forward Day by Day
You can find the devotionals at the back of the church. $1.00 each.

You only have to donate the time it takes to buy the cards!! We all eat, we all buy groceries, we all have birthday, and we all buy gas. So why not buy your groceries with pre-paid cards for YIGS or Food Basics? You can get them right here at the church on Sunday mornings after the service or in the office during the week. This is one way that we can all contribute to fundraising here at St. Thomas’!
