Messy Church

Messy Church is a creative program for young families. Come as you are. Come as a family. This is a great opportunity to meet other Bracebridge families, and to have an evening out with supper provided.

Time: 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Place: St. Thomas Anglican Church, 4 Mary Street, Bracebridge

When: On the last Friday of each month (except for July and August)

Monthly themes emphasize values education for children with core principles taken from Bible stories. Past themes have focused on such things as: the beauty of God’s creation and our responsibility towards the earth and other creatures; God’s rules for living (The Ten Commandments); and Bible Superheroes. While the program is a best fit for children from ages 6 - 12, toddlers and babies are welcome, and teenagers have volunteered as helpers. All are welcome. Watch our Messy Church Facebook for details of this month's theme.

  1. Because some children may be coming straight from school or daycare, we begin with SNACKS, CRAFTS, GAMES, and ART.
  2. This is followed by a worship time featuring VIDEOS, MUSIC, PUPPETS AND STORIES.
  3. Then it’s on to DINNER provided by St. Thomas’ crew of excellent chefs.

Parents supervise their own children and enjoy talking with other parents. This is an important part of the program, and necessary because the activities often range over two floors of our large building. There is an elevator to insure accessibility for all children.

WE OFFER THIS PROGRAM FREE OF CHARGE TO FAMILIES OF ANY FAITH OR NO FAITH.

NO NEED TO DRESS UP.

Come as you are.
